CEDC is an independent private sector-led company and the lead delivery body for Croydon’s economic regeneration. It is a ‘not for profit limited company' built on successful partnerships between the council and the business community.
It is delivering a coordinated economic strategy to create an environment where local, national and international businesses can thrive, developing wealth and opportunities for the community. The CEDC is positioned to use private sector expertise and best practice to ensure the maximum return on investment for Croydon.
This focused approach is a transformation in how
Croydon promotes itself and provides a single voice to lobby for
investment and growth.
The CEDC has access to a
broad range of sources of public and private sector funds, including a
core grant from the Council, Local Enterprise Growth Initiative,
European Regional Development Fund income as well as sponsorships and
other income from the private sector.
It’s great strength is its
strong partnerships with Croydon businesses, Croydon Council and
Croydon Business Improvement District (BID) and Envibe.

Tony Kildare - Chief Executive

Tony brings a wealth
of experience in both the private and public sector to his position as
Chief Executive of the Croydon Economic Development Company (CEDC).
He arrived in Croydon from top global
professional services firm, Ernst & Young LLP, one of the ‘Big 4’
consulting and professional services companies, where he was Industry
Director for Government, Public Sector and Not for Profit business. He
has previously held positions as the Chief Executive of EDC Renaissance
South Yorkshire, Executive Director of Economic Development of East
Midlands Development Agency (EMDA), and Head of Enterprise and Skills
for Scottish Enterprise.
Now fully committed to regenerating Croydon’s
economy, Tony has set out an ambitious vision for economic development
which will deliver in a number of areas, promoting inward investment,
encouraging enterprise and innovation, improving jobs and skills, and
promoting economic inclusion.

Lisa leads the business support team and has been working on the Croydon Enterprise programme for 3 years, successfully delivering Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) objectives throughout.
She previously worked at the Big Lottery Fund, where she developed several projects across London, including Capacity Building for the Community and Voluntary Sector, the Young People’s Fund and the Fair Share Initiative. Now part of the CEDC’s senior team Lisa is also responsible for developing business support and securing finance from a range of sources, including the EU. This area of her work has recently led to the successful acquisition of significant capital from the European Regional Development Fund.

Jivko previously led the programme management team responsible for developing and managing the Croydon Enterprise programme.
Now a member of CEDC’s senior team, he brings a variety of expertise to this key role promoting jobs and skills in Croydon, having worked in the public, private and voluntary sectors before arriving in the post. He has relevant experience on a number of levels, having formerly run his own business and then gone on to work on several regeneration projects, including Social Enterprise Development, Single Regeneration Budget and Neighborhood Renewal.
Jivko is responsible for delivering the jobs, skills and learning projects to ensure that businesses have access to a well trained workforce with the skills they need.

Jane heads up the team responsible for promoting Croydon’s investment opportunities, both locally and internationally, through a range of activities that include marketing, public relations and public affairs.
Her role includes working with key stakeholders to advance a positive brand for Croydon, whilst delivering the marketing strategy to support those aims. Jane comes from her previous position as Head of Marketing and Sustainability for the City of Edinburgh Council’s waterfront development project, where she worked with major landowners and a range of organisations to promote the development of Edinburgh’s waterfront and the commercial opportunities it presented. Now settled in London, Jane is looking forward to promoting the many opportunities on offer in Croydon as part of the CEDC’s senior team.

Ros Morgan – Director of BID and DCMs

As BID and DCM Director Ros leads a team that is delivering a thriving, clean and safe Croydon.
She was appointed the Croydon Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) Manager in 2006, and played an instrumental role in introducing the BID model to Croydon’s Town Centre by establishing one of the largest BIDs in the country, which launched in April 2007. Ros works closely with businesses of all sizes in the borough, from large retailers to independent stores, multi-national companies to SMEs.
This experience has enabled her to develop a clear understanding of the issues and opportunities for businesses in the area, something which she is now able to bring to her role as a member of the CEDC’s senior team.
